The badge of The Welch Regiment against a background of their stable belt colours. Formed in 1881 as The Welsh Regiment it adopted the ancient spelling of Welch in 1921. The regiment was amalgamated with the South Wales Borderers in 1969 to form the Royal Regiment of Wales.
